Gather. Grow. Thrive.

North Women is a community where women of all ages come together to grow in their faith, build authentic relationships, and encourage one another in every season of life. Through small groups, events, and powerful gatherings, women are equipped to walk confidently in their purpose and make a lasting impact in their families, workplaces, and communities.

Our Discipleship Seasons

Women’s Discipleship at North follows a simple, intentional rhythm throughout the year. Each season has an emphasis on growing—personally, relationally, and spiritually—as we learn to follow Jesus together.

🌱 Spring | One-on-One Mentoring
Spring is focused on life-on-life discipleship. Women are paired together to meet one-on-one, reading Scripture, working through our curriculum, praying, and learning what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life. These relationships are rooted in God’s Word and focused on building significant relationships that call us to a higher standard.

☀️ Summer | Mentor Development
Summer is a season of investment and renewal for our mentors. We slow the pace and focus on encouragement, training, and spiritual growth—creating space for mentors to be poured into, supported, and equipped for the next season of discipleship.

🍂 Fall | Discipleship Groups
In the fall, we gather in discipleship groups, where women grow alongside others in community. These groups create space for biblical teaching, honest conversation, prayer, and practicing spiritual rhythms together—because discipleship was never meant to happen alone.

No matter the season, the goal stays the same:
women rooted in God’s Word, led by His Spirit, growing together among His people, and learning to walk in surrender to Jesus.

North Women Discipleship Core Values

Scripture is the ultimate authority for our lives and decisions. Mentors practice and model their spiritual routines for Bible study, meditation, prayer, listening to the Holy Spirit, sharing their faith, and teaching others the commands of Christ.

• We aim to be disciples of Christ who make disciples of Christ. We are committed to learning and loving Christ on our lifetime journey of discipleship, while investing deeply in the spiritual growth of other women.

• We esteem the beauty of diversity, longevity, and faithfulness. Discipleship requires a posture of humility that seeks to learn more about Christ and His love through the faithful devotion of women from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

• We build significant relationships that call us to a higher standard of living in Christ. To be known and understood intimately within the body of Christ is paramount to the healthy, growing Christian life.

Our hearts are full as we think of what God has done!

North Women’s Discipleship began in 2018 with a simple longing—to see women love Jesus deeply and grow as His disciples. Over the years, we’ve gathered around many studies, learning together how to open God’s Word, depend on His Spirit, and walk faithfully with one another. In recent seasons, God has led us to slow down even more—writing curriculum in-house and spending extended time in the books of John and Romans—so that we would be deeply rooted in Scripture and shaped by truth.

At the heart of NWD is a desire to be women who correctly handle the Word of God and allow it to form how we live. Discipleship is a lifelong journey, and we are all still becoming.

Discipleship has always been about more than a specific program. It will look different for each woman, but the invitation is for all of us. As we root ourselves in God’s Word, depend on God’s Spirit, walk together as God’s people, and live lives of surrender, we trust God to grow a culture of discipleship among us.

We see an army of women pursuing Jesus across every age and stage of life, and what a joy it is to walk this road together.

We see you, we believe in you, and we are cheering you on as you follow Jesus whether through one-on-one mentoring, Fall group studies, or simply inviting someone along on the discipleship journey with you. Know that it is a joy and an honor to walk this road together—trusting God to form us into women who love Him deeply and help others do the same.

FAQs

  • North Women Discipleship is all about building significant relationships that call us to a higher standard of living with Christ. Discipleship is intentional mentoring with goals for spiritual growth as a follower of Christ.

  • Prerequisites for each woman seeking a mentor are consistent North Church attendance and participation at Info Night in January 2026 to understand the commitment level expected for a semester of discipleship.

  • Disciples meet with their mentor for 8 sessions during the spring semester, along with the NWD Launch Party and NWD Team Connection.

North Women’s Discipleship is designed to help you grow deeper in God’s Word alongside a mentor who will walk with you in your faith journey. This happens not only through your meetings together, but also through the weekly time you spend on your own in Scripture and working through the study. Each lesson includes questions that invite you to slow down, reflect, and apply God’s truth personally.

Coming prepared with your homework completed allows you to enter your discipleship meetings ready for meaningful conversation and encouragement. The more you invest in spending time in God’s Word and thoughtfully engaging with the study, the more fruitful and transformative your discipleship experience will be.

  • If you have made a connection with one of our mentors, we would like for you to note your specific request when filling out the NWD Disciple Profile. While we are unable to guarantee every request, it is helpful to have the information as we prayerfully pair mentors and disciples. We believe the Holy Spirit will guide us and match the right women together.

  • All mentors are required to be discipled, recommended by a current NWD Mentor and attend a Mentor Training.

Every North Women’s Discipleship mentor goes through an intentional process of preparation before stepping into this role. Each one has personally completed at least two semesters of discipleship, including an interview process. In addition, all mentors attend Mentor Training to be further equipped. This process helps ensure that the women serving as mentors are not only spiritually grounded, but also prepared to walk alongside others with wisdom, humility, and care.

  • While it is our prayer that every woman desiring to be mentored will be paired, there are times when the number of available mentors does not match perfectly with the number of hopeful disciples. Completion of the application does not guarantee placement with a mentor. Our North Church Heroes will be given priority placement.
